Pascal is a Dutch photographer living in Amsterdam for the last two decades who specialises in social documentary photography. He usually produces work in series, so that the viewer can follow the story of ordinary people, often within their daily or work environment. His interest lies in being able to create a visual impact in order to provoke high sentiments and challenge concepts. His first book, Mineros de Bolivia, was just published.
Pascal has undertaken several assignments in various countries in the developing world as well as in the West. His work has been seen in individual or group exhibitions as well as in international publications. He has also won an assortment of competitions.

Day Route
Our starting starting point is the FOAM photography museum. Having a cup of coffee and a short discussion about photography and in particular Street Photography.
We'll head towards the beautifull Keizergracht with many interesting nooks and crannies with many photo opportunities.
We cross the Amstel via the “Magere Brug” and stroll to the bustling Waterlooplein Fleamarket. After enjoying ourselves and finding interesting people and objects to shoot we walk through many alleys and lesser known backstreets to the Chinese Quarter and the back of the Red Light District.
From there we end at Central Stations where make photos of the people around the station.
Night Route
Starting point is the photography museum. Having a cup of coffee and a short discussion about photography. Instruction on night photography. Route as above.
Night tours are available on request. For this tour you need a Tri-pod (or we can loan one) and a SLR or high-end point and shoot camera.
Photographers need to have the knowledge of how to adjust the white balance on their digital camera.
